POST 8: ABORTION

                The issue of abortion is a very controversial issue today in Chile, but I think he still does not talk enough about the issue as it should.

                I think abortion should be legal because each person, in this case a woman has the right to decide what to do with your life, if you decide to be a mother or not is an individual choice, but I also see here the role played by example, in a stable relationship, man does the right like father mother wanting to decide whether to abort or not ?, this question joins the discussion on this topic there today if abortion is a decision to partner or only of women, but I think in cases like rape should be a decision only for women, and if the victim is a minor, she can get help from a psychologist or his own family to make a decision as important.

                I think that if abortion is legal, women under 21 should not need the consent of their parents, if perhaps they could advise but not decide for her, unfortunately for women under 18 are under the guardianship of their parents and legally they decide for them.

              I think this issue should not be taken into account religious precepts to make laws, but if any woman decides whether to abort or not a free choice, as each woman has her own religious, political or moral beliefs.

POST 7: HOW GREEN ARE YOU?

I think recycling practices should be taught in homes, but this, at least in Chile, is not very crowded. People have been acquiring these practices so it spreads in social networks and the TV news, this is because today is coming to increasingly light on how humans mistreat the planet.

I personally have no recycling practices, I think that this is because simply I have not given much importance to the problem of the destruction of our own planet.

As for the use of cars, sometimes I prefer to walk instead of going by bus somewhere, but I admit that I would love get around by bike but I'm afraid to go on it because when I was little I run over a car.

I know eco-organizations but I'm not part of them, I think I have not joined these organizations because I have not taken the time to know who specifically work, but I recognize that they are very important today and its contribution to both humanity and the planet is very large.

  Something that I would include in my habits is recycling, recycling trash into my house, use biodegradable bags, do not spend so much water, etc.

To reduce the carbon footprint I've stopped using aerosol pollutants only, I have not done anything more because I do not have much information about that, but I want to get more information about these issues, and that interests me.

I think in our society lack education about these issues, you should first teach household recycling habits; Second, schools would have to provide information about what is currently happening on the planet, as humans are destroying it, and teaching practices to improve those mistakes. I also believe that in Santiago missing implement rules for that people aware about the pollution in the city.

POST 6: ART

                  I think art is important because it is a form of expression and I like it for that, because one can through pictures or paintings express what you feel or what you want others to feel that. The truth when I was little was not interested in art, what I loved was that if coloring, could spend hours coloring picture books for children. But being that of older I became interested more art and started visiting museums, or find information on some artists.

                I do not have painting skills, but that if I like to draw sometimes with strong, bold colors and do anything in my notebook pages, well and that is why I have never participated in any competition gear, do not think have the "gift" of to be an artist.

                For my the Graffiti artists make art, it's a different art, but is art at the end, obviously there are better graffiti than others but I think that happens in all forms of art there.

               Something I really like about the actulidad art is art in public spaces, painting public spaces, such as "mini business" of two young painting here in Santiago called "You are going" (http: // www.estanpintando.com/), I love his art, they combine the colors, as you can liven up public spaces through the painting, for me it's like watching one of his paintings, as they did in military school, and feel that the entire space has another meaning, which is different to its context. Other artists I like and that I'm on Facebook, I met some young women are at a craft fair in Buenos Aires, called "Kriya Art" (https://www.facebook.com/kriya.arte), they do workshops painting for children and adults, workshops Ecopaint make their own works with household items like a painted outline mirror, his works love them because they use very strong colors that make you feel better if you see them, and drawings they make are very Latin and that makes their work even better.

My future Job

          The truth still do not know in what I want to work to be a sociologist, so if I have clear is the areas of sociology that I like, which are the sociology of emotions and body, sociology of religion, sociology of sport and sociology of the sexuality, I know that are many areas but I think are important issues in the society. Also I will like to work in investigations that are linked with exits to area, discussion groups, get in touch with people, so never do that if working in an office all day, I would not put up with. I think doing investigation on the areas of sociology that I like, I could travel far to nourish how these areas are developed in other countries, as in Chile, for example, sociology of religion is not well studied.

           I would work on campus to publicize these areas little known here, also I will like to work in the government to implement public policies on relevant or necessary to society such as sport and sexuality issues.

            In addition in a futuro me interested in studying another career that is Social Work, for well to supplement my knowledge in sociology and to be a contribution to this society.

Dreams

              To me dreams represent my hopes and my fears, represent what I feel in a situation that I lived in a day, for example. Sometimes it happens that I live what I dream in reality, but do not remember the dream until the live experience, is very rare.

                My dreams are usually very real, well colorful, have never had a dream in black and white. Most of the time when I woke up I remember what I dreamed, but spend a few hours and I forget. A recurring dream that I have is I have to get away from people who want to hurt me or escaping a natural disaster.

                I think normally daydream, I like to think of things I could do in the future, although some seem impossible, I always think I can do it, for me the key to my dreams is to just trust that it is possible, as I read once "the impossible just takes a little longer. "

                If I had a lot of money the first thing I would do would be to pay a trip to my grandparents to tour and rest a lot, also would give my mom her dream house, and I also love to travel the world, see places and be filled with the culture of each country that I could visit.

The Best Concert

          The best concert I've ever been is at Calle 13, I have actually gone to two concerts of them, but this year was the best. It was the 14th of March this year in the stadium Santa Laura.

          Calle 13 is a Puerto Rican band headed by René Pérez Joglar, aka Resident, and his stepbrother Eduardo Cabra Martínez, alias Guest. René is a singer, songwriter and producer, while Eduardo is a composer, arranger, conductor and multi-instrumentalist piano, melodica, electric guitars, among others. The half-sister of both, Ileana Cabra Joglar, aka PG-13, is the female voice of the group.

         I went to the concert with my best friend, my brother and his girlfriend. The ambient that had was total euphoria, it felt good to shout and sing to all lung. The joy of the people who were there it felt, I felt wonderful, it was a day to forget about problems and just enjoy. I think you will enjoy it so much because it is a band that I love, and his songs are excellent, with a lot of sense, especially social sense.

        One of the things I remember most is that we had tickets for gallery and finally we went to court, it was very good.

Post 2: My Chilhood

That which brings back memories of my childhood is chocolate milk of Soprole, because my grandmother and my mom always gave me milk, every days, as far as I decided when I was 12 years old not drink more milk, but this year I returned to resume the habit.

My favorite childhood memory is when I played with my companions in the garden and we imagined that it was an adventure, we did food with ground and grass and we thought the courtyard was a magical forest. This was when I was like 3 years.

Since little he was on vacation with my grandparents, my brother and my cousins to a town called Camarico that be in Talca, in that town there is a river and that is where I learned to swim when I was 7, I learned with the help of my brother and my cousins who are older than me. Learning to swim was one of the highlights of my childhood.

In conclusion, my childhood was well lived.

Post 1: A country I would like to visit

The country to which I would go to France is because I like the French language and as art lives in the country.

Always heard people nearby, friends, teachers, talking about it beautiful that is France, but I only it seen pictures of cities of France or read articles about the country. I know that Paris is a beautiful city with a very artistic and intellectual environment, there are bridges with interesting stories or good museums to visit.

If I can ever go to France, I would go to places with very artistic environment, know into French culture and of course not only go to Paris, I think there are cities equally or more interesting than Paris.

If I have the opportunity to go to France I would go there to study, in order to learn to speak French, I think it is a interesting language, and to learn more about my career in the french sociological intellectual world, as some sociologists French are famous as Pierre Bourdieu.

What is this article about?

The article is about the march in Santiago for the nationalization of water to the who attend community representatives from across the country come together to protest the legislation of the Pinochet era privatizing water management.

Well, I think the logistics side of the water, its management should be the State. But I also believe that the state should recognize water as a public good, a good itself, a national asset, to which all people can access, as it is a basic necessity also outrageous that someone would be denied water for not having enough money to pay the fine, that today happened to be a consumer generating significant profits for companies.

The state must be a managing entity to these demands, because if you do nothing these demonstrations will continue. People need reliable and practical to believe that this can be improved proposals.

I agree that people are moving very for these reasons, and I think the state has to cope with these demands and see the best solution for the well-being of an entire country.

Good and bad points of 2014

       This semester has had a bit of everything, good and bad things. The goals I set at the beginning of the compliance year not all, but manages to be more orderly with things university. On ratings has not gone as I expected, but at least I'm passing the course.

        It has been a semester in which I have learned a lot through the things that  I have happened. Something very special about this semester is that I postulate for the first half of 2015 exchange program, and in a few days know results.

      And I must admit that despite I not like much English language, English this year was very useful and dynamic.

     I hope for the other semester is to be more organized with things university to find a job to be more independent, and that the results of the application for exchange are very favorable.

How green I am?

Specifically chileans are not so worried the environment and take action to care for, if the government tried to make some changes, such as vehicle restrictions, supervise companies, among others, but it seems this has not done much as some cities in Chile are quite pollution.
I think people in their day to day are not instructed on how to care for the environment, should be taught first at home, then schools should have programs to teach children the different ways that our environment this much better. Most people learned that I think, is to use recyclable bags, because in supermarkets give or buy for a very low cost.

In my personal case, I have very few recycling habits, I have very few recycling habits, one could be that I try not to use plastic bags and other trash separated according their type, whether plastic, paper or cans.

The truth does not use the bike, not because I like it, but because I'm a little scared, because when I was run over on a small-er biking and that left me a bit traumatized xd, but I find it is an excellent means of transportation, I hope to one day return bicycling.

I have not joined any organization because maybe I have not created much awareness of what it really entails recycling.

In the not too distant future I would like to be more aware of the environment, for better or for worse the world is the place where I live, and every day with bad maneuvers we are all killing slowly our wildlife and more up polluting our own air.

The Perfect Song

              Hi, I’m going to talk about the song "Mi sol", that I called the perfect song. This song is the Mexican duo Jesse and Joy. The song "Mi Sol" this is an important person in the life of another, to the point of not feeling worthy of having that person in your life, the duo also adds that this song fits for people who have lost a loved one.

                The lyrics of this song makes me think of people who are on my side and often do not value as much as it should, people who are with me in bad and good times, that why the part I like more about the song is the chorus, which reads:

                For me this song is very emotional because it makes me remember my family, specifically my brother, since about two years ago he went to study to Argentina and in his farewell I will dedicate this song by the fact that he is a key person in my life and the song expressed what I felt at that time for their study tour

The best book I have read

I do not know if it's the best book I have read, but it is the most marked my infancy, the book "The Diary of Anne Frank". This book is a collection of the diaries of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who with her family went into hiding from the nazis during World War II.

In her diary Anne Frank tells his story of how he lived about two years hiding with her family and others persons in a basement in Amsterdam during the Nazi occupation of Holland in the World War II. Finally they are betrayed and arrested all who were hidden in the basement, and then are taken to different concentration camp.

From the family of Anne Frank the only one that survived was his father, who it was that made ​​it possible to be published as a book the diary of his daughter.

"The Diary of Anne Frank" I think it's a good book, especially for children, as well as provide information about world history, what happened in the Second World War, leaving a valuable moral, have respect for other no matter as that person, or where it comes from.

The stories like the Anne Frank show us that this can not happen again.

A picture to remember

This photograph was taken in March 2010 in Licantén. I went to this place with a group of people to help the families who had been affected by the earthquake of 27F.

Where the photo was taken is in a field where we did activities for local children, games, face painting, karaoke, etc.

The girl that I'm in the picture it's a girl that the three days we were in Licantén was with me from one place to another, we play, we laugh, I paint the face of a crazy way.

This photo reminds me of all the joy you gave me that girl, eventhough be having a difficult time as the earthquake, where she and her family had lost many of their belongings.

The days I was in Licantén were very nice days, because despite everything with people we went we could give a little joy or help people who were not going very well.

A band that I love but nobody knows

Dead Can Dance is the band Australian-British formed in Melbourne in 1981 by British Brendan Perry and the Australian Lisa Gerrard.  Were separated a time in 1998, but in 2005 the band briefly reunited for a world tour and was reformed in 2011, releasing a new album called "Anastasis" which led them to do several tours.

His style of music is difficult to define, as having a mixture of musical genres, as gothic rock, dark wave, post-punk and world music. Each of the disks in the group is influenced by one or more cultures, aesthetic lines and musical movements from as old as the Gregorian chants and traditional Persian music, but always keep roots in ancient ethnic music. My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is my cell phone LG, because is it has a keyboard and especially because it is simple.

My cell phone is not a very modern cell phone, but I love it for that same. With my cell phone I can listen to music and most important is that I can call and receive calls.

I do not like things very technological, that is why I like my cell phone, because it is simple and above all because I'm not all day attentive Facebook or Gmail, I can see it perfectly on my computer when I am at home.

But all may not be as good, because the only thing I do not like my cell phone and at the same time is a big problem is that often itself turn off alone.

But who knows if equally in the future finished taking a modern cell phone.

 

Expectations for a new semester

Well, my plans for this semester are studying more than last year, and apply for go of exchange program the next year.

I want lose weight for to compete in any Taekwondo tournament, in the category of less than 57 kilos. I want also have more free time for read books about sociology of emotions, body and religion.

I would like to go for a weekend to the beach or south for forget a little of the problems and I can breathe some fresh air.

Another plan that I have is keep working all year for finance my personal expenses, photocopies, improvised outputs and for save.

In conclusion, I hope it is a good year.

This is Me

My name is Genesis Sandoval Mondaca,  I am 21 years old and I am a student of sociology of the faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Chile.

I am in my fourth year career and now also I’m working as waitress in a hotel.

From little I live in the house of my maternal grandparents with my mother. Although my parents to be separated, equally I see my father constantly; and other thing about my family, is that I have two brothers and two sisters.

One of the things I like in life is the sport, and is that is why I practice Taekwondo. Other thing that I like is the listen music.

That is mainly my life.
